Laguna Brava

Laguna Brava

An amazing site in the middle of the Andes, located at 13200 ft above sea level and surrounded by the world’s highest volcanoes such as the Pissis (20307 ft), the Veladero (19572 ft), the Bonete Chico (20307 ft), etc…Declared Ramsar site by the U.N.E.S.C.O along with the San Guillermo National Park, in San Juan, one of the 10 largest world’s biosphere.
Breathtaking landscapes displaying an extraodinary range of colours, (far more than the 7 of the rainbow!). The whole day is spent in direct contact with nature, allowing us to observe and enjoy the local fauna such as guanacos, vicuñas, emues, foxes, condors, etc…. and as well migratory birds such as pink flamengos in spring and summer.
We’ll have lunch in one of the historical stone refuge built during the crossing of the Andes by General San Martin and its troops between 1860 and 1875.
We’ll also see the most beautiful dinosaur’s prints, perfectly preserved in the rock of the spectacular pre-Andes, also known as “Quebrada de la Troya”.
The day will end on our ancestor’s steps, at the ritual site of the “Diaguita’s Stars” in Vinchina.
A truly unforgettable day…..
