It’s in the Moon Valley that the most ancient dinosaurs ever found on the planet so far where discovered: Eoraptor Lunensis and Herrerasaurus Ischigualastensis, 228 M years old.
The Moon Valley is a desert made of different layers of continental sediments, each one of them having a very definite colour and displaying astonishing rocky formations.
The tour takes 3 hours, is 42 km long and stops in 5 different points where we can observe the most surprising landscapes and stone formations such as the “Submarine”, the “Mushroom”, the “Bowling field”, etc…
The tour finishes by the visit of the museum where you’ll be able to follow the extraction of a fossil and the reconstruction of real size dinosaurs which were dominating this land over 200 million years ago.
