Adventure tourism in 4x4
The expedition to the crater “Corona del Inca” gets right to the heart of the Andes, reaching a height of 16800 feet. This beautiful crater is hidden on the south face of the world’s highest volcano and America’s 2nd highest summit: the Pissis, culminating at 20736 feet. The expedition leaves Villa Union much before sunrise, which we can admire over Laguna Brava. A few kilometers away, the real adventure will starts crossing wide opened areas of volcanic ashes, sand desert and rocky river bed. We’ll make our way to the top surrounded by volcanoes all over passing the 18000 feet such as the Bonete, the Reclus, the Veladero, etc…and finally get to the edge of the 6 km wide crater, holding in its center the beautiful deep blue watered lake “Inca Pillo”. It will be a long and tiring day but an amazing and unforgettable experience.
This expedition is accessible to anyone in good health. Due to the lack of oxygen, the altitude we’re getting to and the terrain’s conditions we are equipped with oxygen, several spare wheels, spades, etc….
This expedition is not recommended to people suffering from heart and breathing problems or high blood pressure.
