An amazing site on the roof of America, located at 13200 ft above sea level in the Andes and surrounded by the highest world’s volcanoes such as the Pissis (20307 ft), the Veladero (19572 ft), the Bonete Chico (20307 ft), etc…Declared Ramsar site by the U.N.E.S.C.O along with the San Guillermo National Park, in San Juan, one of the 10 largest world’s biosphere.
Breathtaking landscapes displaying an extraodinary range of colours, (far more than the 7 of the rainbow!). The whole day is spent in direct contact with nature, allowing us to observe and enjoy the local fauna such as guanacos, vicuñas, emues, foxes, condors, etc…. and as well migratory birds such as pink flamengos in spring and summer.
We’ll have lunch in one of the historical stone refuge built during the crossing of the Andes by General San Martin and its troops between 1860 and 1875.
We’ll also see the most beautiful dinosaur’s prints, perfectly preserved in the rock of the spectacular pre-Andes, also known as “Quebrada de la Troya”.
The day will end on our ancestor’s steps, at the ritual site of the “Diaguita’s Stars” in Vinchina.
A truly unforgettable day…. see more

Trekking in Talampaya
Departure: 9.00 am Duration: 8.30 hrs
Tours: “Quebrada de Don Eduardo” and “Cañon de Talampaya

Our trekking in Talampaya’s national park offers the opportunity to discover a very beautiful and unknown part of the park, the “Quebrada de Don Eduardo”, which is only accessible by foot, therefore offering a privileged site for wildlife observation, particularly condors.
This walk will take your imagination to a far away world when standing at the foot of the gigantic red walls, when making your way among the incredible coloured rock formation or again at the sight of the impressive “Gothic Cathedral”, on the other side of the Talampaya river bed which will be our path to follow through the Canyon.
We’ll get to know the local flora at the “Botanic Garden” where we’ll also experiment the amazing sound of the echo in the “Chimney” which surely won’t miss to surprise you.
The path will then lead us to the “Awada Cave” where our ancestors used to get shelter and to finish, we’ll be able to admire the way they expressed themselves through the numerous carvings left on the rocks, over a thousand years ago.
A magical journey in time during which you will not only see the park but live it.
Knowing it this way also contribute to its preservation, avoiding pollution in a protected natural area.
